چکیده

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been proposed as a viable and more sustainable solvent for CO2 capture, owing to their low volatility tunable properties. In this work, polymer membranes were combined with hydrophobic DESs prepare supported liquid (DES-SLMs), the potential of using SLMs CO2/N2 separation was investigated. COSMO-RS model simulations, bond energy analysis well stability tests used select polymeric porous support. Hydrophobic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nominal pore size 0.1 ?m chosen support three selected DESs. The gas permeabilities through DES-SLMs experimentally determined, where thymol-coumarin (1:1) based SLM showed best performance permeability 175.0 Barrer selectivity 30.2 at room temperature. capability further improved by mixing DES traditional physical absorbents. addition, effects water presence in phase on DES-SLM membrane physically stable, but ideal deteriorated time steam. By predicting N2 organic SLMs, prospects developing applications demonstrated. Finally, an advanced capture process natural gas-fired cycle (NGCC) power plant studied simulation economic analysis, are purify product.

Gas Separation by Supported Ionic Liquid Membranes

The use of ionic liquids (ILs) for gas separation processes recently has attracted much attention due to high solubilities of different gaseous species in ionic liquids [1]. The preparation of supported ionic liquid membranes (SILMs) is also reported for selective separation of different organic or gaseous compounds. Research activities have amongst others focused on CO2 separation from gas str...

Supported Ionic Liquid Membranes and Ion-Jelly® Membranes with [BMIM][DCA]: Comparison of Its Performance for CO2 Separation

In this work, a supported ionic liquid membrane (SILM) was prepared by impregnating a PVDF membrane with 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide ([BMIM][DCA]) ionic liquid. This membrane was tested for its permeability to pure gases (CO2, N2 and O2) and ideal selectivities were calculated. The SILM performance was also compared to that of Ion-Jelly® membranes, a new type of gelled membranes dev...

Deep Eutectic Solvent-Based Microwave-Assisted Method for Extraction of Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Components from Radix Salviae miltiorrhizae.

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have attracted significant attention as a promising green media. In this work, twenty-five kinds of benign choline chloride-based DESs with microwave-assisted methods were applied to quickly extract active components from Radix Salviae miltiorrhizae. The extraction factors, including temperature, time, power of microwave, and solid/liquid ratio, were investigated s...
